Cards and Towers is a premium strategy PC game by developer Family Devs, and is a tower defense challenge, wherein players must defend against relentless waves of robots using a variety of tower units. It also utilizes card-based mechanics that let them evolve their towers and change the gameplay in all kinds of ways. 

Robot defense 

In Cards and Towers, you will be defending against relentless waves of deadly robots within a colosseum-like structure. As mentioned, the game employs card elements, wherein you can build and customize a deck from hundreds of unlockable cards that can help you survive each round. Compared to others of its kind, defense happens in real-time, and you can place units to adapt to changing situations. 

Experiment with different card combinations and achieve unique synergies to increase your chance of a successful defense. What’s more, you can even combine the same cards so they can evolve to a more powerful card. Now, the actual gameplay feels a bit too easy, and you can get by with simple upgrades, which doesn’t encourage much exploration and strategy. 

Lacks challenge and pressure 

In conclusion, Cards and Towers offers a fun and engaging tower defense experience with real-time tactics and hundreds of cards to build the ideal deck for your runs. However, the lack of challenge doesn’t really encourage you to explore different play styles and experiment with your strategy. Hopefully, this will be addressed promptly in a future update.
